Taman Tasik Wawasan Cleanup in January 2015

The lake at Taman Wawasan was cleanup in January 2015. Thanks to MPSJ for removing the water weed.

Program Menanam Tumbuhan Air Di Taman Tasik Wawasan

MPSJ bersamaan JKP 16 dan SP Setia telah mengadakan satu program menanam tumbuhan air di Taman Tasik Wawasan. Program berkenaan berlaku pada Ahad 22 Jun 2014 dari 8 pagi hingga 11 pagi.

TAMAN TASIK WAWASAN

Cr. Chang Kim Loong has been invited by a group of children and their trainer, Ms. Joon from
Wawasan 4 for their “Harry Potter Play” and was accompanied by Alice (Secretary) and Pn
Sharifah (PA) on the Friday, 21st December, 2012 at 5.00pm.

Literally the intention of these children’s’ invite was not the play but is to voice out their
discontentment on the excessive plants planted in and within the Wawasan Lake Park, which
leave them no space for their football.

In order to redeem the space and having some plants removed, they have worked hard in
getting 200 signatures supporting their petition.

However, Cr. Chang with great empathy agreed to intervene to assist them in the best possible
way and Alice who is also the Chairperson of RA Puteri 11 agreed to have the removed plants
for their Taman.

Let’s pray that Cr. Chang can obtain the utmost best deal for these little gentlemen and ladies
of Wawasan 4.

New gazebo at Tmn Tasik Wawasan

The construction of a new gazebo at Taman Tasik Wawasan was finally completed on the 9th Dec 2012. Residents and JKP 16 members held a small party to grace the occasion.

Resolved: Soil Erosion at Taman Tasik Wawasan

On 31st May 2012, MPSJ repaired the cement walkway which was damaged by soil erosion. No. Ruj: 0291/02/2012 was lodged by JKP 16 member. Thank you to MPSJ on their prompt action.

Taman Wawasan Lake - Cleanup

On 21 May 2011, MPSJ contractors went into the lake to cleanup rubbish. This could be avoided if people do not throw rubbish into the lake and its surrounding!

Gotong Royong to Clean Lake at Taman Wawasan

JKP 16 with MPSJ and Avas Sdn Bhd together with residents from Pusat Bandar Puchong, Bandar Puteri Puchong, SP Setia, NGO Tzu Chi, etc. held a gotong-royong event to clean the lake at Taman Wawasan. A non-chemical method i.e. special organic rock and powder was applied onto the lake. The even was held on Sunday 28th Nov 2010. JKP would like to thank all who participated in the gotong-royong event.

Taman Wawasan Lake Treatment - Clinoptilolite Volcanic Rock

A presentation by Avas Export Import Malaysia Sdn Bhd was held at JKP16 operation centre on 23rd October 2010. It was conducted to understand more about using Clinoptilolite (a type of Zeolite) to treat the Wawasan lake's water and underground stream coming from the slope. It was found that the underground stream contains natural minerals hence causing a metallic layer on top of the lake. The metallic layer prevents sunlight from shining into the lake-bed which make it not conducive for plankton growth.

The session was attended MPSJ officers, councilor Tan Jo Han, JKP 16 and Resident Associations. A further study will be conducted by MPSJ to evaluate the viability of using Clinoptilolite to treat the lake's water.

Resolved: Damaged Children Slide at Taman Tasik Wawasan Replaced

JKP member has followed up regularly with MPSJ on the damaged children slide at Taman Tasik Wawasan, and now has been replaced with a new one in March 2010. The children will be happier to play there. Thanks to MPSJ and Puan Azlina for the kindness.

Taman Wawasan Lake Cleanup

The lake had to be cleaned up again in March 2010 as the lake was full of rubbish, vegetation and silt.

Sesi Dialog YB Gobind Singh Dengan Penduduk Zone 16 Pada 2 Mei 2009

Pada 2 Mei 2009 hari Sabtu telah diadakan satu sesi dialog bersama YB Gobind Singh dengan peduduk Zon 16 merangkumi Pusat Bandar Puchong dan Bandar Puteri Puchong. Sesi itu diadakan di Taman Tasik Wawasan, Pusat Bandar Puchong. Turut hadir ialah ahli Majlis Zon 16 Encik Tan Jo Hann.
