Owing to complaints received from residents whose houses have developed cracks, JKP 16 and its councillor have been following up and working closely with MPSJ over this matter. The councillors brought up this issue in today's 28 Oct 2008 OSC meeting for deliberation. It was decided during the meeting that MPSJ's stop work order issued on 18 October 2008 stands (related to the construction of retention wall via contiguous bore piling).
In the meantime, MPSJ will conduct thorough investigation to determine whether the contiguous bore piling and retention wall work will exacerbate the crack.
